If you would have asked me five years ago if I could imagine moving to the north Georgia mountains and opening a bed and breakfast, I would have laughed. Never in my wildest dreams, but look at us now...
We are Brent and Debi Hancock and we appreciate you joining us along this amazing innkeeper journey. Bent Tree Lodge and Vineyard was born out of our love of all things North Georgia. The mountains, nature, hiking, waterfalls, and wineries. We opened our doors August 2018 and we have loved every moment.
When we first opened, it was a for weekends only. This gave us the opportunity to keep our day jobs; Brent currently works for Volkswagen as a Sales Operations Manager and I am a middle school Math teacher. Joining us in this adventure are Brent's lovely parents, Gerald and Mary. They moved from Kansas City, MO to help us with operations. They currently host guests with weekday reservations.
So I guess you can call us the Bent Tree Lodge team. Also serving along side of us, and greeting guests to make them feel at home, are Zoe our chocolate labradoodle and 3 barn kitties Shadow, Boots and Olive. The kitties will almost surely join you when you sit around the fire pit.
Our hope is that guests staying with us will feel comfortable, welcomed and enjoy their time in our beautiful area. We have become quick experts on our local wineries, hiking trails, restaurants and shopping. So what are you waiting for?
